Those are some precious moments. I hope some of the deployed troops wander over and have a look at these hope inspiring images. God bless 'em every one.

Me too Judge. That's what this blog is all about.

To honor our heroes.

I can feel the love in those receiving their loved ones home.

Again you find something to bring tears to my eyes. About 3 more months and I will be waiting for one of those buses!

Very touching. And I agree with Bob....light at the end of the tunnel and all that.

It's hard to imagine this but I believe from past experience, at least when I was Homeward Bound, Troops will never ever feel what we experience when we finally touched down on the good old soil of the United States Of America.

I mean, I didn't have a Family nor Girlfriend to come home to but as I walked from the plane to the gates of Freedom at Travis AFB, I looked around and saw the relief in the faces of the same troops who flew with me toward home. I saw the JOY and HAPPINESS in their faces, I couldn't help but shed a tear for I knew I had helped each one of them to come home safe and sound to there loved one's !

If you were an NCO, you know what I meant by that, our responsibility to our MEN and WOMEN under that responsibility will never cease !

WELCOME HOME TROOPS !

When I was reading your comment my mind went right to mental images - seeing the smiles on troops faces when they step back onto American Soil again. I even had the mental image of one actually kissing the ground.

"I saw the JOY and HAPPINESS in their faces, I couldn't help but shed a tear for I knew I had helped each one of them to come home safe and sound to there loved one's !"
I bet every single one of them remember you well and are thankful for your leadership and protection.

I can share with you, one of our Marines loved one has watched this video and is looking forward to her boyfriend returning to her arms.
I remember taking off from Saudi Arabia back in May of 1990 flying back to Germany, my home post.

What a feeling that was.

...and I remember coming back home in Missouri on my leave in June at St.Louis Lambert Airport. People were cheering when I got off the plane. That was awesome!

Welcome Home Troops!!!
